Founder of Strong Tower Press

Michelle Janene grew up in Northern California and struggled in reading and English class in early elementary. By high school she was a strong follower of Christ and discovered a love for reading and medieval fiction through author Stephen Lawhead’s books. Shy with few friends, she found the world outside her home to be intimidating and confusing. She learned to escape in books and even started writing a superhero story on one of the first word processors—a typewriter with a screen.

First Publications

As a teacher, she helped her students publish books. Whether it was individual content or collaborative, her students had bound books they could share.

First Critique Experiences

In 2010 Michelle joined Inspire Christian Writers, and one of their critique groups. Within a year she was leading that group and had started a student writing group on the campus of the middle school where she taught. As a critique leader for almost ten years, Michelle knows the benefit of authors helping authors polish their words.

Founding Strong Tower Press

In 2017 Michelle created Strong Tower Press to publish her own books. She was also driven to help other authors fulfill their dreams of becoming published as well. Strong Tower Press is a resource for Indie Authors publish their book. STP aids great writers in seeing their dream of publications come true. She believes you shouldn’t have to take a loan out, mortgage your home, or rack-up tens of thousands of dollars in debt to publish a book.

Continuing Growth

In 2020, Michele joined Chistian Author Community and Services. This community of authors seeks to help one another reach more readers with their Christian publications. As a vendor with the CACS, members can hire her services to move from story planning to publication.
